Common questions
- What instruments does Verity tune?
- Verity is a chromatic tuner — in auto mode it detects the nearest note to whatever you play, roughly 30–900 Hz. The free tier tunes guitar in standard tuning; Pro adds alternate guitar tunings plus dedicated presets for bass, ukulele, and violin/mandolin.
- What do I need to run Verity?
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later.
- Verity isn’t picking up my instrument.
- Make sure microphone access is enabled (Settings → Verity → Microphone), play one string at a time, and reduce background noise. For best accuracy, use the built-in microphone rather than Bluetooth headsets.
- Does Verity work offline?
- Yes — Verity needs no network connection. All tuning happens on your device.
- Can I change the reference pitch?
- Yes — with Pro, set the reference from A = 430 to 450 Hz, with one-tap presets at 432, 440, and 442.
- How do I restore my Pro purchase?
- Open any Pro feature (tap the color dot or a Pro tuning) and choose Restore purchase. Pro is a one-time unlock tied to your Apple ID.
- What’s included in Pro?
- Alternate guitar tunings (Drop D, Half Step Down, DADGAD, Open G, Open D); dedicated presets for bass, ukulele, and violin/mandolin; adjustable reference pitch; high-precision strobe mode; accent themes; and manual string mode.
- How do I request a refund?
- All purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; refunds are issued at Apple’s discretion under the App Store terms.
- How do I report a bug or request a feature?
- Email support@veritytuner.com — we read every message.
- Does Verity collect my data?
- No. Everything happens on your device; audio is never recorded or sent anywhere. See our Privacy Policy.
